A year?

I't has been almost a year since I last posted. WOW. Talk about procrastination. Well I have been truly busy and so much has happened in my life. But I am back! I am also back to writing. It's time for a sequel and I am definitely not spending a year writing this one. By the end of the year is my goal. Wish me luck. That is all.

Maryland

So I am now an official resident of Maryland. Strange place when you're a Jersey person. The adjustment hasn't been so bad but I've been extra busy arranging myself, hence the neglect on posting. I will hopefully be back on track by the end of the week. That is all.

Rocky Horror Review & Virgin

So I'm a bit late with the review considering I went to the show on Friday but I was really busy. Give me a break. I arrived at home 5:30am on Saturday after a lovely night. The show was AMAZING!!! The talent, unbelievable and the cast had vocals like I've never heard before. It was simply, the perfect cast. The chemistry on stage was just......WOW. Sometimes I can't believe people have never seen the movie. Ugh. Oh well. Well afterwards, my friends and I had V's on our faces in red lipstick, signifying virgins, for we have never seen a live rocky horror show. This is where it gets interesting. As I'm driving her home, we decide to stop at dunkin donuts. As we're ordering at 3am, this guy walks in behind us in line. I swear to you, this was the conversation.

Guy: what's the V for?
Me: virgin. (turn back around)
Guy: (blinks for a few moments)Uhmm,  Ex--excuse me?
Me: virgin.
Guy: what kind of virgin?
At this point I just ignore him while my friend is dying of laughter. My face is serious as all hell and I keep my composure. As we were leaving....
Guy: good for you.

BAHAHAHAHA it was great! It's really awesome making people feel awkward. You should try it.

So my novelette is ready to be launched. YEAH! That is all.

Soooo many great things to look forward to. I have finally finished the novelette that I've been writing for over a year. It's nothing spectacular that I spent so much time on. I just experienced copious amounts of writers block. But anywho, I finished editing it and my lovely fellow, also a writer friend finished editing it today. It should be polished and ready to be dispersed by the end of the weekend!

Is anyone as crazy about Rocky Horror as I am?! Well, the Livingston Theater Company at Rutgers is featuring it this weekend. I can't wait as I have already informed you, I AM A BIG FAN. It's also awesome when you have friend as part of the cast. Break a leg Lina! You're always awesome superstar. I hear opening night yesterday was phenomenal. So excited! My fellow writer friend who I call Baby Duck is accompanying me to the midnight showing. Reviews up tomorrow. That is all.

I have a fear of squirrels.

Moving, Peaches & No Shave November

As I was flipping my pillow over to the cool side, I decided to check the time on my phone. This is always a bad idea because 1) you go into panic mode with the few amount of hours you have left to sleep or 2) what?! I've only been sleeping three hours??. Well lucky for me, choice #1 is really never an issue considering I work at 3pm. It was 5:08am and I had gone to sleep around 12:30am. But it felt like I had gone through two James Cameron movies, canoed through the Nile, watched a whole NASCAR race and completed a triathlon. ONLY 5:08am? Yeah, I know some people would switch places with me but you REALLY don't know how it feels. Now back to what I really wanted to talk about. I'm finding my blog very therapeutic after creating it yesterday. (So yes, give me a break. I'm a newbie and still getting the hang of things. Hence only 1 post: about to be be two.) So I'm moving to the lovely state of highways, Maryland, in about a week and some days. I'm not happy nor sad about it. Pretty content and looking forward to the change. That's that about that. Now onto the peaches. I know everyone has had a craving that drove them nuts. I mean all you could think about was that particular thing you really wanted. Well that was me for about a week. I reaallyyy wanted a peach. It was all I could think about and it took over my whole. I was seeing peaches everywhere. This past weekend, I even bought a ginormous Snapple peach tea to control the craving. But no, there was no turning back. Finally, last night I passed by a grocery store and found peaches. First thing, why the hell are peaches $2.99 a pound? It reminds me of that one time I bought a bag of cherries for SIX DOLLARS and cried all the way home. Anywho, that was the the best $1.12 I ever spent because that peach was delish. I had one of those movie moments where the character runs out to the middle of a field and spins while spinning happy music plays. It was great while it lasted. November is here. WOW. Let me just put it out there that I will be shaving. I'm not letting my legs become chewbacca worthy. That is all.

Halloween

So, it's Halloween. YAY! Nahhhttt. It's Monday and I already completed my celebration this weekend. BUT I will say it was pretty awesome to go into work for an hour. Yeah I'll lose hours but I'm done with this job in about a week and some days anyway. What I've come to discover the past week or so when the kids at work were talking about what they were dressing up as, I might be doing this shit someday. Buying my kids costumes, taking them trick-or-treating (a.k.a let me make life easier for the pedos, kidnappers & serial killers) and all that jazz. If you've ever wondered about how you feel on having kids? WORK AT A PRESCHOOL. The decision will slap you in the face in about 1.5 hours. Other thoughts I were having were: some of these kids are gonna be future (insert naughty) everything you can think of, giant condoms, strippers and hugh hefners. The future is hopeless. That is all.
